QuaranRita (Rae's Margarita)

Difficulty: Easy

Prep: 10 minutes

Mix: 5 minutes

Serves: 1 person

COVID came as quite a surprise for us all. The declared Martial Law (aka quarantine) shed an eerie layer of darkness on the already present pandemic. As we all try our best to cope with our teetering mentalities during this temporary change. One thing that I'm sure of is that most of us have been having a drink....or five! I love a fresh, non frozen #Margarita. In fact #Tequila is my all time favorite liquor. One of the top dogs in my opinion is Tres Generaciones. It is without a doubt one of the smoothest Tequilas I have ever had the pleasure of indulging in.

You can snag one for sure at your local BevMo or Lee's Discount Liquor for under $45. I am ridiculously obsessed with this spirit so much, that I once plowed through an entire bottle of Tres with an old friend in under a 6 hour period. No I didn't have a hangover the next morning, but then again I was 21 at the time! I've both read and heard that Tequila is a non-depressant. I don't even care about the accuracy of that statement because I absolutely agree with the conclusion!

Once you get your hands on a bottle, shake up my personal recipe. It's not too sweet with just the right balance of musk and citrus!

OutRaegeous Tip:

Add #Tajin to the rim of your glass for a colorful and tasty addition!

Typical salt is fine too if you find Tajin to be too spicy... I will say that you're for sure missing out!

This Recipe Calls for

  1. 3 oz. of Reposado #Tres Generaciones Tequila

  2. 1.5 oz. of Orange #Curacao Liqueur

  3. 3/4 Tbsp of both Fresh Squeezed Lime and Lemon Juice (you can use more or less)

Directions:

First, you're going to want to add ice in to a short 4-6 oz. glass.

Combine all of the ingredients into your glass and stir! Or shake it up and pour the contents into a decorative martini glass. Get boujee with it then!
